What's great about having an outdoor photography session?

The great outdoors is the perfect setting for a photoshoot, with flattering natural light and a scenic backdrop that can take the mood anywhere from calm and serene to "we're off on an adventure!". Though there are many benefits to studio based photography, in my experience people relax in front of the camera a lot more in an outdoor setting, without the harsh lighting and being confined to one spot. During my sessions, you can take your time, breathe in the fresh air and just enjoy each others company.
Where will my photoshoot take place?​

I'm very fortunate to have the great outdoors as my studio, so the location is very flexible. Being situated in the Heart of the National Forest, there is a wealth of picture perfect locations right on my doorstep, though I'm always happy to go further afield if there's a particular location you have in mind. Some customers like their photoshoots to take place somewhere familiar to them, or somewhere that holds a special meaning . If you're unsure where's best for you, don't worry as I have plenty of suggestions up my sleeve that we can discuss during the consultation process.

Please note that Mini sessions take place at a single special location that I carefully scout out.
​​What's involved in the consultation process?
​
The consultation process is where I get to find out a bit more about who will be attending the shoot and your vision for the end product. We can also discuss ideas for where the shoot should take place if you are undecided. The consultation can be over the phone or by email, whichever suits you best.

What if someone's camera shy?
​
I understand how nerve wracking it can be on the other side of the camera, so I always keep my photoshoots nice and relaxed. When everybody's feeling comfortable that's when we get those beautiful natural smiles!

How do I book a session?

If you'd like to book a session or have any questions before you decide, please feel free to contact me via my contact page. I'll aim to respond within the next working day where possible.

What if it rains on the day?
​
I'm more than happy to shoot in the rain and this can make for some fun and unique images. However, I totally understand if you'd prefer to rebook and we can re-arrange for another day.

When can I expect to receive my images?
​
You will receive your images within 2 weeks of your photoshoot. I appreciate this may sound like a long time to wait, especially when your excited to see the end results, but rest assured they'll be worth the wait! Each image is individually edited to a high standard and I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I like to take my time ensuring everything is just right for you.

How will I receive my images?
​
You'll be emailed a link to your own private online gallery. The gallery will be password protected. The gallery is the perfect way to show case your images with family and friends. You can then download your images straight from the gallery and even order stunning, high quality images directly from your gallery!
